What makes Nearity HP10 headset special?
More and more people work from home a couple of days per week with lots of meetings during the day. It is not easy to have quality meetings with dogs, kids or your partner in the house. We surveyed a bunch of people and designed HP10 which has the following advantages:
- All-day comfort wearing headset;
- Dependable removal of background noise;
- Versatile plug&play compatibility;
Ambient noise cancellation, with DSP and AI, state-of-the-art.
The ECM mic close to your mouth is directional so that it captures more speech than ambient noise. Usually the SNR is more than 15db. The remaining noise is cut to minimum by AI.

My employer sent me a wired one ear headset that wasn’t very good. I was looking for a better headset and decided on these. I’ve been using them everyday for the last four months and haven’t had any issues. Customers can hear me on calls and I can hear them. If I have a quite customer I can turn up the volume or turn it down if they are loud. I not sure the noise canceling microphone does much. as customers can hear loud noises from my end. like the weather sirens and lawn service. The mute button works great and lights up so you know you are muted. I would purchase these again.

I work from home and I’m talking to customers all day long. I have tried at least 10 different pairs of headphones and every single one pressed on my ears so much that they were sore after every shift. I had negated this by switching myself to a boom mic and speaker system. but our new software only allows headsets to interact which are connected via USB. After reading reviews I decided to give these a try and I could jump for joy! Finally. I’m able to make it through a shift at work without being in pain from wearing headphones. The pads are really soft and the headband is wider than other headsets I’ve tried so the angle of downward pressure on my ears is so much more natural. Plus. these match the woods in my office. I love them! Great price. I hope they last for a while.

Original review: I can’t attest to the qualities. box was damaged the zipped bags it arrived in looked used and some piece of what looks like something from outside was on the bag and lastly. the mic had some debris on. I didn’t take it out because I was not trying to touch whatever it was. It did not look new based on that mic part. I had high hopes for trying this for the remote job I just got and this is proving to be harder than expected. Returning.

Decided to replace an older headset with microphone with this one. The reviews were fantastic. and let me tell you: the reviews are accurate! I teach online. and since last semester. I’ve been producing narrated PowerPoints for students. Many of my students are not used to learning exclusively online and appreciate any additional instruction. When I narrated with an older 5-year old Logitech headset. I could hear static when I replayed the narrations. In comparison. this headset is loud and clear. No static. no secondary noise. and the ear cushions are soft and comfortable. I produce narrated PowerPoints weekly for three classes per semester so it’s important I have technology that works and is comfortable. It also helps to have a really good headset when participating in virtual meetings. It’s not clunky looking. and the brown/black color is a pleasant change from the standard black. Love this headset and the price!

This headset is ideal if you use the phone all day for work. It cancels background noise out. the volume is loud. It sounds like the person is in your head. The mic is perfect. not only is it adjustable but I do t have to speak loud for the other person to hear what I am saying loud and clear.

I bought two sets of these. One for my granddaughter’s house and one for my house when she comes to stay. They appear to be of excellent quality and are as advertised. They cancel the external noise and she states they are very comfortable. when she plays internet games with her friends. over a long period of time. If you are buying this for children please note that they don’t have a built in volume limiter. So. pay attention when your child or grandchild uses them to make sure they are not too loud.

I like the color. texture and its not hot on the ears. But it’s a bit uncomfortable after about an hour and a half of using it. Although. I can switch it to an earphone that has aux.
Nose cancelling is at 90% at least. the sound volume is surprisingly good. When my ear hurt I put it on my neck and turned up the volume and could still hear the person on the other end even if it’s not on my ears.
Update: I was offered by the seller for a replacement/alternative due to my review. however either of the offer does not work for my current need; I really appreciate their customer service and providing a resolution. Thank you.

I bought this headphone because I could not stand what my company issued me for remote work at home during the height of the pandemic. I had over a year until they forced me to use one of their own choices. It was working very well but I got to listen to my boss every once in awhile. It is surprise how comfortable this headphone was. I had two before this that were of poor quality or very uncomfortable. Sound going and coming were good (as headphones can be. Most headphones of this nature are just ok).

This headset is comfortable to wear (including over reading glasses). nicely padded on the ears and headband. quite lightweight to wear for extended time periods. and looks good as well. Nice stereo performance for music for what it is. spoken audio very clear.
Total plug-and-play in Windows 11. no drivers required and no changes/selection needed in Windows settings.
Using with the USB adapter provided. it shuts off the computer’s external speakers just as it is supposed to. nice in-line switch box for mike muting. volume up/down. and headset speakers pause. Faux-leather covers feel expensive to the touch.
Overall a nice upgrade from the 6 year old Logitech it replaced. Recommended!

Almost perfect. Fits well. easily adjustable. good sound and mic. Led indicating connection and standard mute/level adjust work well. Very comfortable short term and they do mute outside noise well (passively). When I wore for 3 hours not so comfortable. tried readjusting to no avail seems just a bit too much pressure on ears ( that good tight fit is also what provides good noise cancelation). Will definitely use but not a long game night option.

The microphone boom which is designed to be movable has a metal wire in it to allow movement of the microphone boom. The wire snapped and now the microphone boom just hangs there. Here’s what matters….the company that sold it to me made it right. That’s all that matters. Things break. Sometimes it’s just the odd one out. the bad one in the batch. Which sucks when you’re the customer. But this company stood behind their product. I own a business that uses these headphones which gives me the confidence to know that I can depend on this company for everything I buy.

Have been using these Headphones for almost a week. Overall I am satisfied. They are lightweight with good fit. I am happy with the volume provided by the headset. my older set had just passable volume even turned all the way up so this is a pleasant change. Getting used to my own voice being muffled when I am t talking on the phone. but the noise cancelling is worth it when working from home. The only annoyance is that my set did not come with a clip for the wire and it’s quite long so I find it dropping down to the floor and under my chair all the time. I have to keep draping it up on my desk and at times if caught between my desk and my body. the mute button inadvertently gets hit.

I work at a call center and wear a headset 10 hours a day. I have struggled to find something that does not squeeze my ears. I bought this due to the positive reviews. unfortunately it did not live up to the ratings. After about an hour my ears became sore. The same problem I have found with most headsets . it is too tight and squeezed my ears. I had high expectations but will have to return.

I bought it specifically for the noise cancellation claims but it does not deliver. The headset is not made with too cheap materials like others I have tried. the ear pads are OK. the mic stick can go both ways. and the fact you can use the 3.5mm jack or USB is great. But don’t expect much from the noise cancellation since I am not even sure it does anything at all since people on the other confirm it. I have tried with the jack and also with the USB plugged-in.

I work from home as a service dispatcher. so call quality. both out and in. is important to me. This headset provides excellent audio and delivers my voice clear and crisp. I gave the set a 3 for comfort because i have a small head and they are too large across the headband at the top and don’t seat on my ears properly without a ball cap. But I work from home and I’ve overcome this small problem. The included literature encourages removing the set often to relax tge ears. Great advice! The set is a breeze to set up with windows and with Avaya remote phone. It also works great with Zoom and Teams. Love the capability of call mute at my fingertips! This headset was really good at first. worked really well. especially for the price. Now about a month in. the USB part completely stopped working. I had to resort to using by plugging it directly in with the 3.5mm jack. but I am getting feedback from the other folks in the meeting that it is hard to hear and buzzes.
If you can get one to last it is a pretty good headset. Just not in my case. Replaced it with a Poly headset.

This is the first pair of headphones that are actually comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The earpieces are so soft you forget you’re wearing them. The microphone is pretty good also. and swivels up out of the way when you don’t need it. The headband is also padded and very soft. I also like the modern design and the overall look and feel of these headphones. and the fact that you can use them with either a 3.5mm jack or a USB port.
CONS:
My crown is a bit below average. so it’s difficult to find ball caps and headphones that fit properly. The height of the headband in relation to the earpieces is just a bit too high for me. but are the best fit of any headphones I’ve found so far. You can adjust them to fit larger heads. but not smaller heads.
SUMMARY:
I found the design. materials. workmanship. and function to be quite good. The size is just a bit large. and the price is just a bit more than I would prefer to pay. therefore I would give this product a 4 star rating.
UPDATE:
The microphone seems decent enough for phone calls and chatting on the internet. however when I attempted to use these to do a podcast. I found the microphone audio was very muffled no matter what I did. so I will be looking for a different setup in the future.

Nearly perfect. Sound deadening does what it means…I can still hear surrounding sounds. but they are muffled and no longer distracting. The second quality is great. and I really like the swivel boom mic. I can position it either to my left or right. I am a captioning agent and wear these for five hours at a time. Quite light weight. The only thing I personally wish for is the ability to make it smaller. I have a puny head and another bit of adjustment would be great. but they are still very comfortable. I’m pleased with this purchase. 🙂

I purchased this headset approximately 4 months ago and just love it! The ear piece cushions are extremely soft and do not add a lot of pressure against my ears when wearing. It’s remarkable as the headset is light weight. but very sturdy at the same time. The sound quality is superb. I really like the flexibility of the microphone – makes it very easy to position as needed. In addition to this being a great headset. the customer service from the company is stellar. I had an issue with one of the coverings to the ear cushions detaching from the earpiece. I sent an email to the company explaining the issue and had a brand new headset at my door in less than 48 hours! I could not be more pleased with the product and the customer support. The headset is very useful for my teams meeting. I was looking for a good quality headset with comfortable earmuff and I found one with Premium sound grade and adjustable headband. The cushion is very soft and it doesn’t hurt my ear. I wear this headphone for 5-6 hours a day and I am happy with it. I dont have any complaints so far. I will definitely order for my home use.

So far I am in love with these. I work at home using a Cisco phone program and the headphones my company gave us were so painful to wear. They did not fit well and hurt my ears. The other issues was the volume/mute was always in the way and was getting hung up on things and being unknowingly hit.
These are SSSOOO much better. The cushions on the ears are much thicker and actually feel good. After a week of use. my ears feel better. Also even though I have a large head. these fit well. I don’t feel like my head is being squished in a vice. Took a bit to get used to the fact they are more insulating. I cannot hear everything around me as I did with my previous pair. These have worked well with cisco so far. No issues with people hearing me. or in my hearing them. Other than normal issues with cisco. So far I am in love with these headphones. especially for the price.

I just received my headphones and plugged them into the USB port on my laptop. I didn’t have high hopes due to the price. I’m so impressed so far with the audio from a movie and music. I could feel the bass from the music on my ears it was so awesome. While watching the movie. I felt like I was inside of the movie. that’s how good the audio is on the headphones. I’m very happy with this headset and I’ve tried a bunch of them. The ear pieces are super soft and comfortable and fit nicely to the ear to block outside noise. I haven’t had any issues with callers hearing what I’m saying so I believe that the mic is picking up my voice and not a lot of background noise to interfere. Overall. I’m very happy with this set. especially when you consider the affordable cost.

Its a headset. We all know what they do. They are not exciting. however this headset does look nicer than boring all black. The inline control module is a nice feature. You can also unplug the headset from the inline control module and plug it into the old style mic/headphones plug.

For the most part this is a pretty good headset. especially considering the price. There’s a tiny bit of background buzz in my audio test. but it’s really not that terrible. As far as sound quality goes for audio recording and podcasting. you can get away with using this. I will say one thing that I like a lot is the functionality. it’s very comfortable. although it’s a little weird looking with the brown. but the fact that it’s USB attachment comes with the volume and mute button on the cord. I like that which is very rare these days. If you’re looking for Pure sound quality. for podcasting. I would go with the CAD Audio USB U2. which has far richer results from the microphone. But if you’re looking for something you can use with your phone or with a tablet and also use for podcasting from a CPU. and you’re ok with just decent audio. the versatility of this unit is great. All you need is a 3.5 mm adapter to iPhone or Android and you’re in really good shape for that. B+

These are so easy for technically challenged or those who don’t want to mess with Bluetooth. It’s a plug and play set that is very comfortable and sound quality for incoming and those hearing me. The only thing that is disconcerting is my own voice is muffled like I’m in a cave . but I can easily get used to that. I purchased this headset as a backup to my slightly more expensive headset. I have found that the comfort of the headset is very good. And the sound is great also. I use the headset with Zoom and my friends say the microphone quality is better than the slightly more expensive headset of my main headset. As an example. the microphone volume level on my previous primary headset had to be turned up all the way. With this headset the volume is about 75% and many have commented that the sound quality is a lot better than my previous primary headset that is now my backup.

I was frustrated. Before this headset. I bought 3 different microphones and a different headset to use for dictating in Dragon software. All within the same price range as this. Until I got this one. I had to do some serious editing immediately after dictating because Dragon would hear bizarre things that I did not say–If I didn’t edit right away there wouldn’t be any clues about what I meant. The software was expensive. but only a couple of notches above useless.
Not so with this. Dragon hears and types what I say and types it–background noise doesn’t interfere.
They were a little uncomfortable at first. I have a big head and sensitive ears. Luckily. the headset is flexible so I was able to bend them so they’re loose–not clamped on over my ears. The comfort level might take a half star away. but the clarity the microphone gives to my dictation more than makes up for it.
I can’t tell you about the sound quality — I don’t use it for phone calls.

This is a really comfortable headset that does a great job with noise cancellation. and for the first month did a great job of everything. After about 4 weeks I started to notice short “drops” in what I was hearing. just 2 to 3 seconds mid conversation. That’s now increased to 5 – 10 secons drops. and the same is now happening with the microphone.
There’s no obvious cause for this. nor is it a constant. but it’s enough that I feel the need to replace it.

This is nice and low-cost headset for PCs and smart phones. Noise cancellation is good. and the sound quality is decent. (But I would not recommend listening to an opera with these.) Microphone works well.
I have not tried using this headset on a smart-phone. I only use it on my PC for online meetings. As such. it has one significant issue. If your PC drives a monitor with built-in speakers with an HDMI connection. then you will at first get no sound out of the headset until you go to the control-panel (or equivalent) and manually change the default audio option. Worse yet. after disconnecting the headset. the default is not restored automatically. you have to set it again manually. I emphasize that this problem arises only for the case when your PC drives a monitor with built-in speakers with an HDMI connection. Other audio/monitor configurations are handled automatically. such as a DP driven monitor.

I had to buy these because the headset my work gave me is garbage. I actually had a different set I bought off that have just broken after a year of use. That was actually a blessing in disguise. because this set is WAAAAYYYY better!!!!!
The number one bonus is that they’re very comfortable! They don’t press my ears flat and they don’t hurt my multiple piercings. Disclaimer. I do have a little pain after wearing these for a couple hours straight. but I’m able to easily slide them on and off as needed to keep that from happening. Also. they’re extremely easy to adjust and very flexible.
The microphone sits at a perfect distance from my face. The foam cover of the mic does come off. but it isn’t loose and won’t fall off and get lost (like my last headset). I’ve gotten confirmation multiple times that I sound great on the other line. and that my voice comes through clearly!!! Something that my work-issued headset does not allow!
So. as for the noise-cancelling. I have to admit that it’s not the most effective noise-cancelling I’ve encountered. but it does enough. I do notice the effect it has on the sound around me. but it’s just not quite good enough for five stars. But it still does its job! Also. the sound quality from the headphones is just okay. It’s a tiny bit fuzzy and muffled. but not enough to be a hindrance. Again. it does its job just fine. just not quite 5 stars.
Please do not take those criticisms to mean this is a bad headset. It’s better than anything my work has provided me and better than the previous one I had. at a reasonable price. so I’m overjoyed honestly. It is exactly what I needed in a headset!
OH also it doesn’t pinch my hair at all. my last headset did that and I hated it lol ANYWAYS. I would definitely recommend this headset to all work-from-home employees!

I purchased this headset for my work at home. remote call center job. My employer supplied a lower end Jabra set. but the thin foam earpieces were irritating sometimes. I wanted another option. when I was uncomfortable. This set had great reviews related to comfort. but the description didn’t specify all of the compatible applications. There was a wide range of compatible apps. but nothing specific. It mentions Windows 10. call center. webinars. skype. work from home in the description. I was using Zoom. Cisco Finesse and Cisco Jabber. Those apps were temperamental too. Some worked better in Internet Explorer. and Some worked better in Microsoft Edge. I also needed Google Chrome. Some of the company’s more secure apps had conflicts with that too. With so many conflicts or. not running the app with the correct browser. sometimes caused errors and missing page scripts. It can be a real headache. I should have made sure they were compatible. So. I can’t pinpoint exactly which app or which browser had the conflict. Maybe it was the platform: But this headset’s in-line volume control would not work. The mute button was also dysfunctional. If a call came in to loud or barely audible. I had to minimize apps to control the volume on the computer. I did check them. to be sure they weren’t broken. I plugged them into my personal laptop. I could control the in-line functions then. Anyway. besides their control disfunction. the headset is lightweight. and the earmuffs are cushiony. but I still felt some pressure and discomfort after 7 or 8 hours of use. The sound quality is very good and so is the noise cancelation. That’s why I didn’t want to send them back. I will replace them and keep them as a backup. Just a warning. this headset does have its limits and compatibility issues. I suggest. if you’re not sure. it’s safer to check. Better safe than sorry. as the saying goes.

If you buy it for noise cancellation – I would say it’s just average. While listening to soft music with the headphones. I can still clearly hear the tv that’s playing in the living room. It’s like listening to music without it. If you buy it for work or just home use (like simply listening to music or watching movies on your laptop or PC). the sound is wonderful. I just put it on the very low setting. yet it’s still loud enough for me. It’s covers are made of some soft leather-like material (which I like – easy to clean) but may tear easily if you’re not careful. I just wish they were removable covers or replaceable. Comfortable on your ears.
